Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Colora, operated by Norvane Studio. By creating an account you accept them. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 (16 in the EU) to have an account. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.

Credits

• One credit draws one page: from a description, from a photo, with a saved character, another version of a page, or a change to a page.
• Downloads, PDFs, books, characters, page ideas (up to a daily number of requests) and the activity makers are free.
• Several versions per click, and batches, are part of the paid plans.
• If a page fails to draw, its credit is refunded automatically.
• Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred. Free credit amounts may change.
• Free credits are given once per person and email inbox, including its aliases (such as name+tag@ addresses) and accounts that were deleted. Temporary or disposable email addresses can't be used to sign up.

Paid plans and packs

• Plans are billed monthly or yearly and renew until cancelled. Each paid monthly renewal adds the plan's monthly credits; each yearly payment adds twelve months of credits at once. Credits don't expire: they stay on your account while you are subscribed and after you cancel.
• Packs are one-time payments: they add their credits once and don't renew.
• Upgrading, or switching from monthly to yearly, takes effect immediately: a new billing period starts that day, you are charged the new price less the unused part of your current period, and the new period's credits are added, less the share of the current period's credits that matches that unused part. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. A yearly plan can't switch to monthly before its year ends.
• Money-back guarantee: you can ask for a full refund of your first payment (a plan or a pack) within 14 days of it, as long as you have used fewer than 20 credits since. We then cancel the subscription and remove the credits that payment added. Write to us through the support page.
• Cancel any time under Account → Manage billing. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Other payments are not refunded except where the law requires it.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars, and the price shown is the price you pay: no VAT, GST or sales tax is added to it.

Using your pages

• You own what you upload and, to the extent the law allows, the pages you make. Depending on the country, images made with AI may have limited or no copyright protection; whatever rights we have in them, we give to you.
• Personal use: every page may be printed and shared for personal, family and classroom use.
• Commercial use: pages made after your account's first payment (a plan or a pack) may also be used commercially, for example in printed or digital coloring books you sell (Amazon KDP, Etsy) or printables you sell. Pages made before your first payment are not covered.
• Commercial use never covers characters, names or designs that belong to someone else (for example Disney, Pokémon or a sports club). Selling pages of them needs their owner's permission.
• Some marketplaces ask you to say that content was made with AI (Amazon KDP does). Follow their rules.
• You give us the limited permission needed to store, process and show your content back to you. We don't use it to market Colora without asking.

What you may not create

• Sexual content, content that harms minors in any way, hate, harassment, or content promoting self-harm or crime.
• Pages from photos of people without their consent. Upload a photo of a child only if you are their parent or guardian or have their permission.
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or likeness.

We use automated moderation and may refuse requests, remove content or close accounts that break these rules.

AI apps you connect

You can connect AI apps such as Claude or ChatGPT through our MCP connector. A connected app acts for you with the access you approved: pages it makes use your credits like any other, and these terms apply to them. Disconnect it any time under Account.

API keys

Paid plans can create API keys to use Colora from their own software. A key acts for your account: what it makes uses your credits, and these terms and the content rules apply. Keep keys secret and revoke any that may have leaked; you are responsible for activity on your keys until you revoke them. Don't use the API to resell Colora as your own service, to get around limits, or to overload it; we may limit or revoke keys that do.

AI output

Pages and suggestions can be inaccurate or unexpected. Check every page before you print, publish or sell it.

Affiliate program

• Who can join: anyone aged 18 or over with a Colora account and a confirmed email.
• Referrals: an account created through your link during the same visit, or with your code typed on the sign-up form. The referral is recorded once, at sign-up. Sign-ups from your own email inbox (including its aliases) don't count.
• Commission: 30% of each payment a referral makes for a Colora plan or pack during the 12 months after their first payment, excluding taxes. Refunded or charged-back payments earn nothing.
• Payout: each commission becomes available 30 days after the payment. Once at least $25 is available, we pay it by PayPal, usually at the start of the month. You are responsible for any tax on what you receive.
• Promote honestly: no spam, no invented results, statistics or reviews, no pretending to be Colora, no offers we don't make, and no paid search ads on the Colora name. Say that your link is an affiliate link wherever your platform or the law requires it.
• Not allowed: referring yourself, fake or duplicate accounts, and paying or rewarding people to sign up. Commissions from these are cancelled.
• Ending and changes: you can stop at any time; ask support for a final payout before deleting your account. We give 30 days' notice of changes to these rules; commissions already earned keep the rules they were earned under. Being an affiliate doesn't make you our employee, agent or partner.

Availability

Colora is provided "as is". We work to keep it running but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Changes and contact
